Oscar Ciornei Business Development / Licensing
Oscar, the founder of The OAC Group, has a distinguished career as a visionary and proven business leader. His well-rounded electronics industry career includes C-Level positions, board of director appointments, interim executive roles, rep/distributor principal and dealmaker. He travels the globe on behalf of companies who retain him to inspire & coach their leaders, staff and channel market partners.
The OAC Group was formed with one purpose in mind, to help industry businesses survive and find the fast-track in an ever-changing economic & technology climate. Beyond a visionary, hands-on leader and a turnaround coach, Oscar is known for his numerous deals for his clients in technology licensing, manufacturing engagements, key-staff hiring and strategic alliances. His portfolio includes companies in Consumer Electronics, Technology-Integration, Music Entertainment, and Pro Audio, as well as Humanitarian Charities.
An audio enthusiast, former singer and brass player, Oscar’s lifelong love of music and sound technology feeds the tremendous passion that has been the cornerstone of his professional success. He is currently involved with C12, a CEO leadership and mentoring group in Greenville, SC. He and his wife are involved with church, community, and joyful grand parenting.
Joshua, the Creative Director/Partner of The OAC Group, has been a working designer for the past 20 years. He is an exceptional creative leader and marketing executive. He possesses vast experience in bringing consumer electronics and entertainment products to market, from the idea stage to satisfied customers. He is constantly staying on the edge of current marketing technologies, recognizing that embracing the new platforms is important but only as a component of an appropriately diverse marketing plan.
An expert Illustrator and an Industrial Design patent holder (17 patents in all), Joshua graduated top of his class in the field of design. He resides in NH with his wife Kimberly and two daughters. They both share a passion for creative design, photography, music and fine arts. He was a gigging musician for 6 years, playing clawhammer banjo and a variety of other stringed and percussion instruments.
Kimberly Cooper Multimedia / Photography
Kimberly is the Multimedia expert of the OAC Group. She has extensive experience in embedded GUI design, UI/UX Design, social sites, mobile application development and human factors. She has designed award winning interfaces for the consumer electronics, medical and biotech industries. Her passion for beautiful and functional designs is matched by her ability to create pixel perfect results. She is an essential part of all OAC digital initiatives.
Kimberly is also an accomplished fine artist and photographer and is always in search of the perfect New England water scene to capture. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband (and OAC Group partner) Joshua and their two daughters.
Adding depth to the OAC bench, Stephen has spent the better portion of 4 decades in national, regional and local sales positions with several speaker manufacturers and in the telecommunications industry. Areas of expertise include:
Digital content editing and proofreading to fulfill requirements for product brochures, print advertising, owner’s manuals, technical white papers, corporate newsletters, executive speeches, and web content.
Online Compliance focused on the enforcement of Unilateral (MAP) pricing policies, utilizing both internal and external database monitoring of sales activity in order to provide invaluable protection of brand identity among authorized dealer/distributor channel partners.
Dynamic Presentations – From trade shows, field trips, in brochures or ads, the message delivery must be consistent, reflecting the ability to communicate an idea, a concept, the virtues of an approach, or the feature/benefits of a new product.
Stephen resides in Portland Oregon and enjoys the outdoors, especially golf.
Charity has strong success and growth background and a tenacious “get to the heart of an issue” approach with her clients. Her experience runs the gamut of the marketing channel, and she has worked in and with manufacturing, distribution, rep-level, specialty CI, and retail in areas of Operations, Brand Strategy, Finance, Advertising/PR, Marketing, Events and Vendor Relations. Working with the OAC Group makes dreaming big, do-able. With strong offerings to represent the best a client can ask for in each aspect of business—Charity feels confident that when the right questions are asked, and a go-forward plan identified; Clients can see their dreams attainable.
Charity’s recent work with one distributor contributed to a 300% revenue growth over four years, she has participated in mergers up to $1.3B, and is an active member of the CE Industry.
Her energy is brought to her community in Seattle, WA as well, where Charity is involved in community youth programs, teaching art, enjoying music, tending her organic home “farm” and spending quality time with her family.
Mike Weaver has over 25 years of results oriented experience in strategic and tactical channel sales and marketing. He brings unique skills in visioning, crafting strategy, innovation and problem solving. He has been heavily involved in the converging AV/IT/CE industry since the mid 1980’s when he founded his own video production and consulting firm while studying Computer Science at the University of Kansas. From these beginnings sprung his passion for quality user/customer experiences.
Mr. Weaver has held numerous executive management roles including President of a manufacturer of wireless audio products and an innovative music server company, Business Development Manager for an internet solutions group and VP North American Sales for a global leader in digital signage.
Mr. Weaver has extensive experience in dealer channel sales and development, direct sales, e-commerce, OEM and software licensing sales/marketing, and complex product and software development. Mike resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife and enjoys music of all kinds, bicycling, the outdoors and cooking.
Jon has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an International Sales & Marketing executive. His expertise includes global distribution and logistics, tradeshow organization, strategic business development, and product management. In his previous engagement, he led an international sales and marketing team to generate a 20-fold increase in sales. He is a Board Member of ISE Europe (Integrated Systems Events) and speaks Dutch and German fluently.
A well-traveled business veteran (over 5 million miles logged!), Jon has negotiated multiple product procurement purchasing contracts with worldwide OEM vendors. He has also conducted dealer sales trainings in major cities all around the world.
Jon lives in Wilmington, NC. He enjoys carpentry, hiking, spending time with his grandchildren, classical music, good food and good friends.
Bob leads the financial and strategy components of OAC's corporate offerings. He has over 30 years of C level experience leading both public and private companies.
As a result he has an extensive breadth of experience in dealing with all facets of corporate life from finance, purchasing, production, and marketing to congressional, regulatory, SEC and shareholder relations. He has a strong background in mergers and acquisitions from all sides. In addition he has been in management consulting with Fortune 500 companies with McKinsey and Co. as well as consulting with high growth venture backed technology companies. Bob also has deep experience in international trade and manufacturing in Asia.
Bob resides in the San Francisco Bay area with access to investors of all kinds. He has a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
Roger is a partner at Wolf, Rifkin, Shapiro, Schulman & Rabkin, LLP in Los Angeles. He advises and negotiates deals for many of OAC’s clients on technology strategies, licensing and distribution rights.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Roger worked in radio & television broadcasting, commercial production, advertising and as a studio musician (studio guitarist graduate at Musicians Institute). He began his legal career as a corporate attorney handling mergers & acquisitions and private securities transactions. He quickly transitioned to the music industry representing independent record labels and consumer electronics companies. Combined with his technical background, this experience gave him particular expertise in the developing areas of digital media and entertainment technology.
Roger is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Film and Television at Loyola Marymount University, where he teaches Business and Legal Affairs and The Business of The Business. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and regularly comments on legal and business issues surrounding film, music and digital media.
